Oklahoma lawmakers give preliminary approval to "American Dream Act"

A bill to has been approved by an Oklahoma House subcommittee that would allow first-time homebuyers to make tax-free deposits into a savings account to be used as a downpayment on a house. This comes at exactly the right time for me - my partner and I are working on buying a house in 2 years. This could really help us.
